Friday, September 2nd

In the field:

The Canola flowers painted the countryside a cheery yellow...

I won an award for our front yard!

I got up close & personal with a Bison...

Maybe a little too close.

Tragically Hip played some of my favorite songs...

I was a TA for Melanie Moertel (she's so talented!)...

The views were breathtaking...

And spotting a fawn was an absolute treat!

I hope you've enjoyed your summer.

Monday, September 19th

Well, hello there!

It's been pretty quiet around here.  This old computer is looking a little dusty.

Today is the first day in a long time that it feels like getting back to normalcy is just around the corner.  The kitchen is not complete, but we are getting close.  I thought about showing a sneak peak, but I think I'll wait until the whole thing is finished.  The counter top goes in this Friday & hopefully the tile backsplash will be up next week.  Very exciting!

I don't have any photos of the kitchen, but I do have a very funny picture to share with you anyway.

Chris played at a wedding a couple weekends back & was able to photo bomb the wedding party.  Awesome!

Can you spot him in the picture?

My mom went out to Elk Island Park (just east of the city) 2 weeks ago & took the above photos of the trees as they were just starting to change color.

Then, a week later, she went back out to Elk Island Park & took these photos:

Amazing!  The trees are just stunning right now.
