Tip: Accidentally rub past some poison ivy?  If you're nowhere near running water you can rub the leaves of the common Jewel Weed also known as the Touch-Me-Not on your skin where it itches for immediate relief.  Thanks for the tip Ellen!

Tip: Have you been fertilizing your lawn?  It's best to do it 3-4 times a year.  Early spring, mid summer (twice if you can) & autumn.

Tip: Many of your bulb plants such as irises & tulips might be finished, but don't remove the foliage until it's matured and yellowed as it continues to feed the bulb after it flowers. 

Tip: Cut your primrose & bachelor buttons in half after blooming & they'll bloom again in fall.  Thanks for the tip Sue Henry! 

Tip:  Panty hose has a run?  Use them to tie tall plants to stakes.  They allow the plant to move a little & won't bruise it.  Thanks for the tip Tina E.
