Tip: Put dryer lint & left over thread outside for the birds making nests. You can put the material on a fork & stick it in a tree branch so that the birds can pull it apart. Thanks for the tip Charleen Cohen!
Tip: Get a head start on controlling your slugs by cleaning up your garden in early spring. Rake away all the winter droppings of leaves & remove compost from plant crowns where slugs love to hide. Add a light layer of new compost & some "Sluggo" (which, by the way is safe for pets & wildlife). Thanks for the tip Linda Jewett! |
