Tip: If you are doing some pruning this fall, why not leave a few dead branches in the trees - birds love to perch on them and it looks more natural.  ** Just a note about pruning.  It's a misconception that the best time to prune is in autumn or early spring.  Except for a few trees that tend to bleed, the best time to prune is when the tree is in it's fastest growing period.  Up here that's in June.  I discuss this in further detail here.
