I have a knitting question...
First, the red/orange/blue scarf is the first "real" project I made and it's like really, really big, but I still love it & since it took me over 2 months to make & during those two months my cats often used it as a mini blanket or gnawed on the yarn as I knitted, I decided to keep it for myself because almost everyone I would like to give my first "real" knitting project to is allergic to cats. When I finished, I was so thrilled that I eagerly started on my second knitting project...another scarf. Of course, this time it was going to be different, way smaller with less girth so that I could finish it before the cats could lie on it, but something is going terribly wrong. It's the blue one on top - do you see how it curls? What the hell is that? On the other scarf I simply knitted it, but on this one I've been alternating between one row of knitting & one row of purling - could that be the problem? It's the same material as the other scarf so I don't think that's the reason. If you have any advice, I would appreciate it ~ email me at carrie@beadtree.net. ** Later on ** Thanks for all the responses! I now know what I have to do to stop the curling! I also now know that there's sure a lot of knitters that love lampwork beads. Very cool!
