Mom & Molly's Wedding

September 20th ~ 2008

I thought I would share a few pictures from the wedding,

which was held in my mom's backyard last weekend.

My Uncle Doug & Aunt Paulette

My Uncle & Aunt above flew in from Phoenix & helped with lots of the details including getting the bouquets ready for the wedding.  Uncle Dougy wore his Scottish outfit with the Hamilton tartan, he definitely

wins the award for coolest dressed.

Some of the guests ~ my sisters Nancy, Pam along with Jilly who drove in with her husband Steve from Kelowna, B.C.  And May, my brother Joel's beau.

Mom & Bruce

My brother Bruce walked my mom down the garden path to where Molly was waiting.  It was very sweet.

The wedding ceremony

Mom & Molly getting married under the garden arbor.  On one side, all 7 of my mom's grandchildren & on the other side, Molly's daughter Rosa with her son, Cole who was the ring bearer.  By the way, many people wonder about Molly's name, it's actually a derivative of his last name.  His really name is John but we all call him Molly.

Although, I was the "official" photographer, there were plenty of others taking photos.  Good thing, you can never have enough wedding shots.

The Happy Couple

Love this shot, they look so *cute*.  This was just as they finished the ceremony & were heading over to sign the registry.

Another shot of Mom & Molly.  Can you spot The Swill Kings (Chris' band) in the background?

Nieces ~ Brandy, Alex, Chelsey, Meredith, Katie, Lindsay & Jen

The bridesmaids pose right after the ceremony.

Our friends Lenny & Leah lent us this really great bubble machine, which added a little magic to this shot.

Mom & Grandpa

A very proud father hugs his daughter afterwards.

The Swill Kings

My mom wanted The Swill Kings to play the wedding unplugged.  During the march, they played the instrumental version of a song Mike wrote & it was so pretty!  After the ceremony, they played for about an hour.  What a treat to have live background music on such a beautiful sunny day as part of the celebrations!  In this photo Chris is playing the harmonica because he broke his wrist a couple weeks earlier (note the cast), normally he would have played mandolin or guitar, but it still sounded wonderful.

My nieces Alex & Chelsey with my Grandma.

And finally, a delighted grandma, enjoying the wonderful occasion.

It was a superb day & I'm very happy for Mom & Molly.
