Winter's Tale

Though this set of 26 handmade glass beads is named after the celebrated comedy by William Shakespeare, it is definitely the view out the window of my studio that inspired these colors.  In this part of the world, winter can last up to 6 months - so you see a lot of days with soft blue skies contrasting against a clean sweeping of snow & the occasional grey day in between.  I figure you might as well look good while you're waiting around for summer & these beads are just the trick!  This set has such a subtle elegance.  Baby blue is the backdrop for many of the intricate designs & is matched perfectly with a crisp white & transparent smoky grey.  The whole set seems to shimmer like the sun's sparkle bouncing off a snowy landscape.
