Zanzibar

19 handmade glass beads in a stunning color combination of sparkling amber & rich emerald with plenty of pure silver accents.   These beads have a slim, smooth appeal with slightly raised bumps for tactile, yet subtle accents.  Along with the structural interest, the patterning is quite unique & reminds me of some of the beautifully ornate textiles I saw while I was traveling through Zanzibar.  I think you will find these beads to be eye catching alone as an exotic necklace, or as several intriguing, smaller jewelry pieces.  I included enough beads so that you could have fun deciding your own jewelry creations.

Fun Facts: Zanzibar is just off the coast of Tanzania in Africa.  It is known for it's spices, beautifully carved wood doors & long history of Sultan rulers.  It is also the only home of the Red Colobus monkey.

Large flat beads average 14 x 12 mm while the small coin beads are 13 x 8 mm.  The entire strand stretches 35 cm (14 inches) long!
